About

**Building Comprehensive NF Care in California**

The UCSF Comprehensive Neurofibromatosis Center was built by bringing together an established pediatric NF program with a newly launched adult NF program into a single, coordinated center — so patients don't experience pediatric and adult care as two separate systems.

**How the Center came together**
- Dr. Alyssa Reddy's pediatric NF clinic has served patients and families for years.
- Dr. Brian Na joined UCSF in 2024 to build a dedicated adult and AYA NF program, cross-trained in both pediatric and adult neuro-oncology.
- Together, they lead the clinical program, spanning NF1, NF2-related schwannomatosis, and non-NF2 schwannomatosis across the lifespan.

**Recognition**

In under two years, the program earned Children's Tumor Foundation (CTF) Comprehensive NF-1 and Schwannomatosis Center designation — the only one in California — and full-site status with the National NF Clinical Trials Consortium (NFCTC).

**Our Mission**

Our mission is to improve the lives of people affected by neurofibromatosis and schwannomatosis through patient-centered clinical care and research — for every patient and every family, at every stage of the disease, from diagnosis through survivorship.
