The UCSF Comprehensive Neurofibromatosis (NF) Center brings together a multidisciplinary team to comprehensively treat patients with NF1, NF2-related schwannomatosis (SWN), and non-NF2 schwannomatosis. We are the only Children's Tumor Foundation (CTF)–designated Comprehensive NF-1 and Schwannomatosis Center in California and the only formalized adult neurofibromatosis program in our region, offering coordinated, multidisciplinary care from diagnosis through survivorship.
Who We Treat
- NF-1 (Neurofibromatosis Type 1): Comprehensive monitoring and treatment, including MEK inhibitors.
- NF2-related Schwannomatosis: Multidisciplinary management of vestibular and other schwannomas, meningiomas, and ependymomas.
- Non-NF2 Schwannomatosis: Diagnosis and longitudinal care for this less common subtype.
